Beyonce’s latest album may be keeping her from other movie projects. A video surfaced of the “Single Ladies” singer in the booth of a studio wearing jeans, a tucked in white t-shirt and a jacket with paper, pencil and headphones in hand. The video is only 15 seconds long but it appears the superstar is moving full speed ahead with her fifth studio album.
Previously the only details known about the new album were possible industry vets Bey would work with including Diane Warren who wrote “I Was Here.”
“They’re great songs,” Warren said in August of the new tracks she wrote for the singer. “I think they’re on the level of (‘I Was Here’) and I’m really excited about that.”
Meanwhile either the album or other unknown projects is keeping the 31-year old superstar from a previously booked project with filmmaker Clint Eastwood. Beyonce was set to take the lead role in the remake of a ‘Star is Born.’ The project was announced since January 2011 but after getting pregnant with baby Blue Ivy, filming was delayed. The new mommy released a statement about her decision to drop the film from her roster on Tuesday.
“I was looking forward to the production of ‘A Star Is Born’ and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood. For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together.”
The decision may have been a blessing in disguise as many were not keen to the idea of yet another remake of ‘Star is Born’ much less Beyonce landing the starring role. On the flip side, Bey’s fans are eager for another album!
In other Beyonce news, sources are claiming that the singer is pushing her husband Jay-Z to leave Rihanna and her troubles alone. This unknown source claims that ‘She’s (Beyonce) told Jay that Ri-Ri’s beyond hope and just isn’t their problem. ‘This drama has been going on for so long and people get hurt because she won’t grow up.’
Crazier things have been said about Bey so this isn’t very surprising. Crazy nonetheless…
