Kate Middleton Photo Scandal: Editor Defends Decision

Kate Middleton and Prince William are furious after a French magazine, Closer, published photos of the Duchess topless.

The royal couple’s carefree vacation took a turn for the worse when Kate decided to sunbathe topless, like most women do.

Despite her rather secluded and remote location, one cameraman still managed to snap photos of the future Queen of England topless.

Their Royal Highnesses warned that if the photos were published that they would seek legal action, and they’re staying true to their word.

According to TMZ, a rep for St. James’s Palace released a statement saying that “legal proceedings for breach of privacy have been commenced” by the royal couple.

The magazine’s editor, Laurence Pieau, finds nothing wrong with the publication of the revealing photos and defended the magazine’s decision to publish them.

“These photos are not in the least shocking,” Pieau told the Agence France-Presse on Friday. “These show a young woman sunbathing topless, like the millions of women you see on beaches.”

The royal couple is currently in Asia for a nine day tour while the legal war is raging on in France.

Although they will be continuing on with their trip to Kuala Lampur, it’s easy to see that there minds are back in France.

When the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge walked down the red carpet at the Kuala Lampur airport on Friday, Prince William was seen constantly cringing his teeth and couldn’t even fake a smile the way the Duchess did before she placed her hand on her husband’s back.

With this photo disaster coming right after the Prince Harry nude photos scandal, the Palace is ready to take action against the media who seem to have no knowledge of common decency and respect, especially towards the royal family.
