Tony Scott Buried As Suicide Remains A Mystery

Tony Scott has been laid to rest on Friday in Los Angeles. Just five days after the filmmaker jumped to his death from a San Pedro, California bridge. The filmmaker was buried in a private funeral, where only his older brother Ridley Scott and other family members were in attendance, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, both the Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles County coroner’s office are still investigating why Tony Scott took his life. The British director death initially led to reports that he suffered from inoperable brain cancer. However, his family has denied those reports are true.

Law enforcement sources have admitted it’s possible they may never “make a clear determination of motive”, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The producer left behind a couple suicide notes and several notes to loved ones before jumping off the Vincent Thomas Bridge, but none gave a clue about what drove him to suicide.

Tony Scott is  best known for the films Top Gun and Beverly Hills Cop II.  Before  he died, he had recently completed filming Out of the Furnace, a drama  about an ex-con who struggles to turn his life around, starring Christian Bale.  The movie is set to come out next year.

A private memorial service will be held for the filmmaker Saturday.
