A new documentary on Venus And Serena Williams will soon be released. The upcoming film is based on the tennis star Williams sisters as they battle adversity while growing up playing tennis.
The synopsis for the film read:
An honest and unfiltered look into the remarkable lives of sisters and tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams. Through the prism of one year in the lives of Venus and Serena, the film tells the untold story of how an unlikely family from Compton raised two daughters to be the best tennis players in the world. It explores not only the complex family dynamic, unique and unprecedented in the history of any sport, but also the multifaceted relationship the sisters have with the tennis world.
Maiken Baird, an independent documentary filmmaker who made Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer, produced this document alongside Academy Award winning director and producer Alex Gibney.
