Universal Pictures just released a new clip from the latest installment of the Bourne franchise The Bourne Legacy. Jeremy Renner also takes over as Tredstone operator Aaron Cross in the upcoming film. Tony Gilroy has expanded on the Bourne universe that was originally created by Robert Ludlum. The writer/director takes charge of the Bourne franchise, which has become hugely popular, collecting almost $1 billion in the box office.
Renner replaces previous star Matt Damon to head the cast of Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, David Strathairn, and Joan Allen. The story is based on an assassin that experiences life or death stakes that have been triggered by events from the previous films.
Character Aaron Cross picks up where Jason Bourne left off. Just like Bourne, he’s a super spy whose chromosomes were altered to make him more powerful than normal humans. Also like Bourne, it seems there are a lot of folks interested in finding him and/or killing him.
