It’s the mother of all Fashion Faceoffs—Rihanna vs. Kim Kardashian.
When it comes to headline-grabbing, controversy-starting, outrage-eliciting, rapper-dating, tongue-wagging, male-attention-commanding sexpots, you can’t get much hotter than Rihanna squaring off against Kimmie. Kim wore the same navy blue Givency dress a week after Rihanna sported it. And of course People magazine was there to chronicle it all—since neither one of these ladies can sneeze without a team of paparazzi nearby to capture the flying snot for prosperity. People found a way to get Kanye in the middle of the battle, since he and Rihanna are Roc Nation labelmates and he and Kim are…well, we all know what Kanye and Kim are doing together.
Rihanna went first, wearing the $1,057 dress last week in New York City, pairing it with gold ankle-strap heels, a simple necklace and a ballerina-inspired updo.
Next it was Kim’s turn, wearing it 3,000 miles away at the Dash L.A. store opening, pairing it with $1,295 Christian Louboutin python pumps, a gold necklace and a pulled back ‘do. Whispers that her beau was the inspiration behind her new found look were confirmed on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The ultimate question with the Fashion Face-off is, Who wore it better? On this question, Rihanna blew Kardashian out of the water. Rihanna got 81.08 percent of the vote while Kim got just 18.92 percent. Maybe voters were turned off by Kim’s rounder hips and bigger behind squeezed into the blue fabric—or maybe voters just like Rihanna better than Kim.
