Gospel singer Cissy Houston reportedly had to switch hotels after she was booked at the Beverly Hilton, the same hotel where her daughter, singer Whitney Houston, died in February according to a report by TMZ.
She is in Los Angeles for the BET awards where she will reportedly participate in a tribute to her famous daughter during the ceremony. The show will premiere on Sunday night.
Allegedly, Houston will be moved to the Regent Beverly Wilshire.
According to TMZ, the Houston matriarch will eventually visit the room in which Whitney died but she wants to do it on her own terms.
In related news, Houston is set to write a tell-all book about her daughter. The book remains untitled. “In sharing our story in this book, I hope to give her fans something to treasure, the way we all treasured Whitney,” Houston said in a statement. “We are still receiving thousands of letters each day from her fans, and I hope reading this book will provide a deeper understanding into my daughter’s true story.”
The book is due to be released in early 2013.
