ABC’s cop drama Rookie Blue has been renewed for an upcoming fourth season.
The Canadian-based TV show follows the professional and personal lives of five police officers and their journey through the mean streets of Toronto. The officers are currently on their third year on the job.
Rookie Blue has received solid ratings for the network. So far this summer, it has been the No. 1 series among adults 18-49 in the Thursday at 10 p.m. time slot. The hit show also currently stands as the top drama on ABC in that demo for the second summer in a row.
The Toronto-homed series stars Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith as the rookie officers. The show is currently airing its third season, with new episodes showing on Thursdays at 10/9c.
Production for Season 4 is slated to begin sometime in the later half of this summer.
