Nick and Vanessa Lachey have revealed that the couple is expecting a baby boy in September.
The Wipeout host, 31, exclaimed her excitement on her personal website. The mommy-to-be told fans, “It’s a BOY. Nick and I are incredibly excited to share the news that we are expecting a baby boy. We can’t wait to meet him soon!!!” Even though the two simply desired a “healthy baby,” the Lacheys admit to having a having a bit of a preference. “I’m excited either way!” Vanessa Lachey tweeted in March. “But I always wanted a boy first.”
The excited father Nick has been prepping for baby’s arrival, sanding and staining an old desk in the house for the kid to grow into. In an attempt to do her part, Vanessa Lachey worked on piecing together the baby’s stroller. The happy couple has read numerous parenting books together, preparing for their bundle of joy due this September.
Currently six months pregnant, Lachey has planned to take off from work for the last three months of her pregnancy. “[I am taking] off work, completely… fold all of the clothes and do the laundry. Just get everything ready.” Lachey posted a picture of herself on her website, highlighting her growing baby bump and embracing her body.
