Lawyers Spar In John Travolta Case Over Gay Sexual Harrassment Allegations

John Travolta is upset that a lawsuit filed by two male masseuses, claiming he sexual harassed them, has reopened speculation that he may be living a clandestine homosexual lifestyle.

Now, Travolta’s lawyer, Marty Singer, has accused Okorie Okorocha (the lawyer for both plaintiffs), of seeking “15 minutes of fame” by bringing the suits to court. Singer promises to sue both Okorocha and his clients after getting the cases thrown out.

Both men, who have filed anonymously as “John Doe #1 and #2″, are seeking $2 million dollars in damages.

The first man’s claim was immediately denied by Travolta’s counsel, who say they have a credit card receipt to prove the actor was on the East Coast the day the incident allegedly occurred.

However, Okorocha is challenging Travolta’s proof,  telling RadarOnline.com that he has evidence to prove that the Grease actor was in fact getting a massage in Los Angeles on the day in question.

“I can prove and have evidence that John Travolta was in Los Angeles on January 16 when he sexually assaulted my client. I’m aware that Mr. Travolta’s lawyer says he was in New York City on that date, but we have information that will prove that he was in Los Angeles on that day. The credit card receipt that Mr. Travolta says proves he was in New York City has a time stamp of 11:38 p.m., our complaint clearly says the assault occurred in the morning of January 16. This credit card receipt proves absolutely nothing, and it doesn’t account for the day of January 16. My client was sexually assaulted at 10am, Travolta could make it to New York on horseback in that time.”

In response to Singer threatening to sue Okorocha, the Los Angeles lawyer added:

“If Marty Singer thinks he can sue me on the validity of Mr. Travolta’s denials, and if he wants to file the lawsuit now, I will give him a waiver allowing him to proceed with it at this stage of the case, even though under California law he has to wait until he wins the case, and that absolutely won’t be happening. It will never happen, he won’t win, so we might as well get it over with now. Bring it on.”

Despite the fact that Travolta has been married to Kelly Preston for over 20 years and birthed three children together, rumors have long circulated that the Face Off star has ulterior sexual preferences.

The National Enquirer reportedly paid Paul Barresi $100,000 for a story in which Barresi claimed he’d had a two-year affair with Travolta in the early 1980s.  Some time later, Barresi retracted the story in a letter, after facing pressure from Travolta’s lawyers.
