4-Alarm Blaze at Tyler Perry Studios Causes Building Damage, No Injuries

A four-alarm fire at Tyler Perry Studios in southwest Atlanta caused damage to one of the sound stages at the 60-acre complex, but there were no injuries, according to fire officials.

There were 20 units and 96 firefighters who responded to the blaze, which they battled Tuesday night. There were no clues as to the cause of the fire, which fire officials are currently investigating.

According to news reports, Perry himself was on the scene surveying the damage. The studios were recently the scene of a grand fundraiser for President Obama in March that was one of the most highly-sought tickets in Atlanta in years.
