Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom will not continue their reality show in order to give Odom more time to focus on his future in basketball, according to TMZ. The couple will also be limiting their time on the original reality series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Odom has been trying to negotiate his way through troubled waters after being traded last summer before the NBA lockout. Around the same time, in July, Odom’s 24-year-old cousin was murdered, a devastating blow to the star forward because they were very close. Despite his hopes of getting back on his feet and conquering a very personal obstacle in his path, the hard times appeared to be too much of a distraction for Odom and eventually he was placed on the Mavericks’ inactive list. With all of this behind him now, Odom just wants to come back to basketball and perform even better than he was before—just not with the Mavericks. There are no hard feelings between Lamar Odom and his team, however, as both parties mutually agreed that it would be best for them to go their separate ways.
Odom is hoping to be traded at the end of this season, but as he awaits a decision he is currently working with a trainer to enhance his skills on the court.
The cancellation of the spinoff reality show is sure to disappoint many fans, but the Kardashian couple won’t be completely out of the spot light. Khloe, along with her sisters Kim and Kourtney, has already signed a three-year contract for $40 million to continue Keeping Up With The Kardashians. As season seven starts in May, fans of the Kardashians will surely be eager to see how the couple will continue to handle this difficult transition.
