Brian McKnight has been asked to perform his racy song “If You’re Ready to Learn” at the AVN awards. Widely considered to be the Oscars of porn, the AVN awards have offered to fly McKnight to Las Vegas for their ceremony in January 2013.
McKnight is flattered by the attention but he is apprehensive about performing the song. “I don’t know what specifically I will do with this track in the future,” McKnight said to TMZ. “I don’t see myself ever performing it live, but I am flattered that people have embraced it and are having as much fun with it as I am.”
McKnight has also gotten offers from other companies, like YouPorn, to license the song for their personal use. No word on whether he will accept any of those offers but he does plan to release the song on iTunes.
McKnight made headlines this week when he posted a YouTube video to debut the song, which includes the lyric “Let me show you how your p**sy works/ bet you didn’t know that it squirts.” The video went viral and was later taken down—but nothing is ever truly deleted on the internet and copies of it are floating all over the internet.
McKnight said the song was a result of a joke and being cooped up in his house all day recuperating from an injury. “It isn’t for everyone. It’s a parody. I’m having fun because basically I have nothing else else to do,” McKnight said of the song.
