In a recent interview with the London Times, Harvey Weinstein revealed that President Obama recently sent him an unofficial movie pitch. “The President sent me a book the other day and said ‘Why don’t you make this into a movie?’”
Weinstein went on to state that he wouldn’t disclose the name of the mentioned book saying, “I can’t tell you. It was a spy novel.” Of turning down the President’s pitch the movie mogul said: “I sent him an email back saying he was the most overqualified book scout I’ve ever had.”
Harvey Weinstein is an American film producer and movie studio chairman. He is best known as co-founder of Miramax Films. He and his brother Bob have been co-chairmen of The Weinstein Company, their film production company, since 2005(Wiki).
