In Touch magazine tried to jump on a story and falsely alleged that Sandra Bullock was in a “risky new romance” with director Brett Ratner. Both the actress and movie director have dismissed the magazine’s claims as not in accordance with fact.
“We think that it’s incredibly sad that in these times, this magazine would resort to complete fabrication, solely for financial gain,” the two said in a joint statement to E! News. “There is not a shred of accuracy in their story.”
The magazine had claimed that the two were marked “cuddling” up at a gathering following the Oscars. A source told the magazine, “They definitely looked like they were more than just friends. They were together all night and they ended up with a kiss.”
Nevertheless, Bullock and Ratner say the statement isn’t true.
“We have not seen nor spoken to each other for over a decade,” their statement continued. “We both had a great time after the Oscars, just not with each other.”
Bullock has recently starred in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and Ratner is gearing up to direct an equality campaign for the GLAAD organization.
