Fourteen year-old X Factor star Rachel Crow’s entertainment career has taken off. Crow, whose shocking elimination from X-Factor created one of the biggest controversies in TV history has signed a major talent deal with Nickelodeon . The network is creating a comedy series for her to star in, which will shoot its pilot later this year.
In addition, she will have a recurring role in Nickelodeon’s upcoming short-form series Fred: The Show, a show about an imaginative, confident but awkward teenager.
Nickelodeon’s VP Paula Kaplan had this to say, “Rachel is an original. She’s funny, genuine and has raw talent and a passion for performing.”
Columbia Records also signed the young singer. When Simon Cowell found out about Crow’s success he said, “This girl has it. We saw her potential at the first audition and Nickelodeon and Columbia are the right homes for her.”
