James Murray (Chaos) and Patrick Heusinger (Royal Pains) have both been cast as co-stars in the ABC drama pilot ‘Beautiful People’. ‘Beautiful People’ is set in the future where androids are living amongst humans but are treated like second class citizens. The story centers around a very wealthy Lydia whose husband founded the company that makes the mechanical androids. Murray will play her son, a privileged and successful attorney who eventually makes a name for himself by going against society when he suggests that the androids should have civil rights. Heusinger will play a family man employed as a servant in Lydia’s home who is an android, but after one of his android daughters is killed in a car accident he expressess very human emotions, like grief and anger; emotions not expected from mechanical humans.
