Scarlett Johansson don’t like her appointed nickname ScarJo. In an interview with the USA Today, the actress shared her dislike for the alternate label.
“Oh, it’s awful. It’s a laziness. People can’t actually say the whole name? It’s just bizarre … Cate Blanchett is not, like, ‘CaBla?’ Why do I have to get stuck?”
Johansson mentioned that the nickname does help her a little. She said it helps her decide if someone yelling her name is a random fan or someone she is familiar with.
“If I hear somebody say [ScarJo], I know I don’t know them at all,” she explained.
The “We Bought a Zoo” s says other than people yelling out ScarJo at her, she loves her hometown, New York City.
“The city is very kind to me,” she says. “It wraps its big, warm arms around me and keeps me safe. I feel good here.”
