UPDATE-Dancing with the Stars winner JR Martinez and his girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones are expecting their first child together. After winning the mirror ball last month with his professional partner Karina Smirnoff the Iraq vet is taking on his biggest challenge with his girlfriend Diana.
Martinez broke the exciting news to People,
“We found out just last week it’s a girl and we are over the moon. Diana has a little baby bump now and it’s the cutest thing ever. With the holidays coming up, this is the biggest and best gift we could get.”
Martinez and Diana met and became friends after meeting on the set of All My Children in 2008. According to JR the relationship escalated just last year and the transition was easy because they were friends first.
Update: J.R. Martinez says he wants his baby girl to play sports or do anything she wants!
“God has a tremendous sense of humor that he wants to continue to surround me with women,” he tells People. “I was raised by a single mom so I think I’m sensitive to women. I just like spending time with women. I like to talk with women and listen to what they have to say.”
“I can’t wait to show her everything. I want to get her into sports and I want her to know she can do anything and be anything she wants to be.”
