Ashton Kutcher Rejects Lea Michele; Meryl Streep Covers Vogue

Lea Michele wants Ashton Kutcher for New Year’s Eve but her request was denied. If there is anything worse than flirting with someone that you have no intentions for it’s when said person buys into your trick. Such is the case for Glee star Lea Michele. After the much talked about New Years Eve red carpet flirting session, Lea Michele has either decided two can play that game or she’s fallen for Ashton! Given the rumors we’ve heard of Lea and her diva like behavior on set…let’s cross our fingers and go with the former.

While promoting their film during a sit down Lea invited Ashton to spend New Years Eve with her….and her family!

“What are you going to do for New Year’s?” Michele asked. “Why don’t you come celebrate with my big Italian family and me? They would die.”

Ashton who’s in the beginning stages of his divorce from Demi Moore, turned down Lea’s offer with humor, “I don’t know where I’m going to be on New Year’s, I haven’t sorted it out. I was going to try to crash a UFO into the Mayan temples, just to see how people would react to that, but I decided that maybe I don’t want to work that hard.” Besides does Lea really want to bring Ashton home to mom and dad?

You can’t fault Lea for hoping to maximize the opportunity not to mention she was previously nervous to play Ashton’s love interest.

“I kinda felt he was a little out of my league. You know, this guy’s like, the hottest guy, and then when they called and said that Ashton was doing it, I was really freaked out. I thought I should have picked someone else and said, ‘You have to use this person!’ so I wouldn’t have been nervous. But I’m so glad, because he challenged me, and it was a really great pairing, I think.”

Meryl Streep Lands Her First Vogue Magazine Cover

Actress Meryl Streep, 62, has landed her first Vogue cover. We’re guessing editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has forgiven Meryl for her Oscar Winning performance as the icy editor-in-chief of Runway fashion magazine, Miranda Priestly. Or maybe it has more to do with Meryl’s most iconic role thus far as the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in ‘The Iron Lady’. Streep who also holds the honor as the oldest person to land the cover opened up about Thatcher in the issue:

‘It was a men’s club. There were women there but I think it was 16 or 17 out of 630. The world was changing. You could feel the old order breaking down. There were many people who really didn’t want it to change. You could feel it.

Lauded as America’s Greatest Actress on the issue’s cover with 16 Oscar nominations to her name (the most in the industry), Streep recalls telling her husband that her career was over 20 years ago! She recalled receiving three different roles as a witch after turning 40 which led her to believe women in her age range were ‘grotesque on some level’. It’s clear that Streep’s reign is far from over.
