Katy Perry hosted Saturday Night Live last night. Although it was not the funniest episode of the season, there were some funny sketches and Perry held her own. Perry used her singing voice for most of the sketches, but her acting was not entirely bad considering it was her first time hosting the show.
The “I Kissed a Girl” singer definitely had her funny moments including her Christina Aguilera impersonation in the ‘New Years Eve’ parody, and as a Japanese enthusiast in the ‘J-Pop’ segment. She also drew laughter with her mockery of Pippa Middleton in ‘Pippa Meets The Queen.’
Matt Damon, Val Kilmer, and Alec Baldwin made guest appearances. Baldwin showed up in disguise during a segment to address his recent airplane debacle. In the “Best Friends” digital short, Damon played a handsome homeless drug user while Kilmer was a mad scientist.
