Arnold Schwarzenegger will soon appear in his first action movie post his 4-year stint as governor of California. The actor is currently shooting the film ‘The Last Stand’ in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
“It’s his big comeback”, Schwarzenegger’s ‘Last Stand’ costar Genesis Rodriguez said. “It is his film.”
‘The Last Stand’ features Schwarzenegger as a small town sheriff who’s on a mission to take down a drug kingpin before he escapes across the border to Mexico.
“Arnold is the coolest guy I’ve ever met,” Rodriguez said. “He is so funny and he is such a trouper doing his own stunts. He does it all. He’s literally Superman.”
Last month, the former governor split his forehead while filming. He tweeted: “Got a little banged up on set today. Thanks to the medical staff who got me back in action an hour later!”
Not even a bloody injury could slow Schwarzenegger down while shooting his comeback movie. “I saw that in person”, Rodriguez dished. “He got stitches and that same day he went back to work. I would not go back to work after I got stitches in my face!”
The film is set to hit theaters January 18, 2012.
