Beyonce '4' Grabs Number One Spot On UK Charts

Beyonce ‘4’ grabs the number one spot in the UK charts while her previous singles surged following her Glastonbury performance.

According to Billboard,

Beyonce’s fourth studio album “4” landed at number one with 89,000 units sold while the “Best Thing I Never Had” debuted at number 3. “4” is Beyonce’s second number 1 album in the UK with her first solo effort “Dangerously In Love” landing at the top of the charts.

Besides her debut at number one, Beyonce’s older singles and albums were revived by her stunning Glastonbury performance. Clearly she impressed the festival goers.

Beyonce’s 2009 album “I Am…Sasha Fierce” climbed from #127 to #38 on the charts – that’s 89 spots! “Dangerously in Love” nearly cracked the top 40 when it moved from 121-45. “Irreplaceable” re-entered at No. 33, “Halo” at No. 60 and “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” at No. 72. From “4”, “End of Time” debuted at No. 62 while “Run The World (Girls)” climbed 39-23.

In the US “Run The World, Girls” grabbed the number 1 on Billboard Dance Charts earning it the “Greatest Gainer” award.

Numbers should be available soon on Beyonce’s exact numbers in the US. It is speculated to be nearly 300,000. Not to shabby at all….
