Shania Twain is finally speaking out after taking a long hiatus away from the public eye. The country singer was once flying high with a successful music career and marriage. Everthing came crumbling down when Shania accused her then husband Robert “Mutt” Lange of cheating with her then best friend Marie-Anne Thiebaud. While Mutt never admitted to an affair, Shania filed for divorce and her fiary-tale was over. Shania sat with Oprah to discuss her heartbreak and how she moved on,
“I lost my sense of trust, honesty and compassion. I crashed down and became what I consider an emotional mess. I’ve never been so miserable in my whole life. I just wanted to go to bed and never get up.”
Of her marriage to her former best friend’s ex-husband, Frederic Thiebaud,
“It was twisted,” she admits, “but so beautifully twisted. I really can’t complain. I’ve got a beautiful man.”
According to USA Today, Shania Twain is releasing a memoir “From This Moment” and debuts her new show on Oprah’s OWN network, “Why Not” on Sunday.
No doubt Shania Twain has a lot of material to work with for some beautiful sad songs and some heartbreaking love songs. Can’t wait!
